[2025 Zhongzheng District & Taipei Main Station Area Cat Hotel Recommendations] Top-Rated Stays + 3 Sitters Roundup | Ximen, Guting & Gongguan Station Care Services | Fluv’s Top Picks

Looking for a highly rated cat hotel near Taipei Main Station, Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall, or Ximen Station? Fluv’s 2025 picks feature top cage-free pet hotels and 3 professional cat sitters, with details on care environments, services, and pricing — plus cat daycare and in-home pet sitting options, so you can find the perfect stay for your furry friend.

What is a pet sitter?

A pet sitter is a caring, experienced animal lover who looks after your dog or cat in your own home. This model is already hugely popular in Western countries — platforms like Rover and PetBacker help owners find nearby, available sitters to come to them. In Taiwan, Fluv offers the same in-home pet sitter matching service. Compared to a traditional pet hotel, using a pet sitter is a better fit for modern pet owners — it saves you the trip of dropping off and picking up your pet, and lets your furry friend stay in a familiar environment without the stress.

Pet owners across Taiwan love the pet sitter experience. Fluv is Taiwan’s largest pet sitter platform.

Which pets are a good fit for a pet sitter?

In-home care

The sitter comes to your home and takes care of your pet there — feeding, tidying up, playing, and sending you updates. You can schedule a free meet-and-greet visit in advance so the sitter can get familiar with the environment and meet your pet for the first time.

Great for cats who don’t like going out or dogs with mobility issues. If you have multiple pets, in-home care is also a cost-effective option that lets them stay comfortable in their own space.

Pet boarding & daycare

Your pet stays at the sitter’s home and receives one-on-one care — free to roam around, with feeding, attentive care, playtime, and regular updates included. The experience is cage-free and fully customized.

Best for outgoing, energetic dogs.

Long-term in-home care

If you’re away for an extended period and don’t want your pet stuck in a cage at a pet hotel, a pet sitter can step in to maintain your pet’s daily routine — including taking them outside for walks and fresh air.

Ideal for owners who travel frequently or for longer stretches.

Dog walking service

Working late or stuck in an unexpected situation? If your dog needs a bathroom break or some outdoor time, a pet sitter can step in for a walk — so your pup stays happy even when you can’t make it home.

Perfect for medium to large, high-energy dogs like Huskies, mixed breeds, Border Collies, Golden Retrievers, and more.

Free meet-and-greet visit

Before committing to a booking, you can schedule a complimentary home visit to meet your sitter, see their space, and let your pet get comfortable with them. Once everything feels right, go ahead and book!

For every service, your pet sitter will send you photo updates so you can see exactly what your furry friend is up to — even from far away. Reassuring and adorable!

Pet sitter FAQ

1. How does the sitter get into your home when you’re not there?

Through a pre-arranged home visit, the sitter comes over before the service starts to meet your pet for the first time, get familiar with the space, and note where food bowls, litter boxes, and cleaning supplies are kept — as well as getting a feel for your pet’s personality.

During the visit, you and the sitter can work out how to hand over a key. Many owners arrange this through their building’s front desk or concierge.

2. How are pet sitters vetted? Can I trust a stranger with my pet?

All pet sitters on Fluv are animal lovers with hands-on experience caring for pets or volunteering with animals. Each sitter goes through identity verification and training before joining the platform. You can also read ratings and reviews from other owners through Fluv’s review system to find a sitter you feel confident about.

3. Who is responsible if my pet gets injured?

Every booking includes insurance coverage. If an accident occurs during care, the pet sitter is responsible for compensation, with an owner’s deductible of NT$3,000. For costs beyond that, Cathay Century Insurance provides additional medical coverage up to NT$15,000.

4. My pet is shy around strangers — are they still a good fit for a pet sitter?

If your pet is on the timid or slow-to-warm-up side, a pre-arranged home visit is a great way to ease them into it — letting them meet the sitter in a safe, familiar setting and build trust gradually. If you still have concerns, you and the sitter can talk it through together to decide whether it’s the right fit.

If your pet tends to be aggressive, pet sitting may not be suitable — both for the sitter’s safety and to prevent your pet from becoming overly stressed or reactive.

5. My pet needs medication or wound care — can a pet sitter help?

For any special medical needs, look for a sitter who lists medical care skills in their profile. You can also discuss your requirements directly with a sitter when booking and provide clear instructions on what care is needed.
