Visit the owner's home and look after their pet: meals and fresh water, litter and toilet cleaning, play and exercise, and everything else a pet needs while its owner is away.
Stay at the owner's home for six hours or more, on top of the basic care. Most requests come from pets who find long stretches on their own difficult, so your experience with senior pets and large dogs goes to good use. You can also take on watching and accompanying a pet away from home, at an event venue or on an outing. Weddings, photo shoots and events all call on the same skills.
Walk and exercise dogs in the area the owner specifies. You set the pace to suit the dog's breed, age and stamina.
Bring your own equipment to the owner's home and bathe pets who find it hard to go out. Alongside the basics — shampoo, massage, nail trimming and ear cleaning — you can offer options that match your skills and qualifications, such as anal gland expression or trimming around the paws and rear.
Open to sitters who hold a grooming qualification. Visit the owner's home and cut, style and care for the coat to suit each pet's build, coat type and condition. It answers owners who tell us that getting to a salon is difficult, or who would rather their pet were groomed somewhere familiar. You supply your own grooming tools and products.
