⭐️ 6 simple steps to apply as a pet sitter

Step 1: Register an account and apply to become a sitter (5 minutes)

Sign up for the Fluv platform using Facebook or Apple ID. After registering, go to “My Profile” then “Sitter Center” to fill in your profile and start your sitter application. Open the first step — “Document Review” — and enter your basic personal information for identity verification.

Step 2: Pet knowledge and platform usage quiz (1–3 days)

After filling in your basic information, you’ll need to pass an online quiz covering pet care and platform knowledge. This confirms your experience with pets and helps you get familiar with how the platform works. If you’re unsure about any questions, you can refer to Fluv’s tutorial videos and course materials at any time.

Step 3: Set up your payment account (5 minutes)

Set up your payment account — your earnings will be transferred to you on a fixed monthly schedule.

Step 4: Sign the cooperation agreement to protect both parties (5 minutes)

Sign the intermediary agreement online to confirm the working relationship and protect both you and the platform.

Step 5: Find two referees (1–2 hours)

To verify that you have pet care experience, you’ll need two people — friends or family whose pets you’ve cared for — to submit a reference for you.

Step 6: List your services and start caring for pets (30 minutes–2 hours)

Set your available times, the pet sizes and types you’re willing to accept, your service area, and your rates — then you’re ready to start caring for pets and earning money!

P.S. We recommend starting Fluv’s free online course and course materials as soon as you complete step 1.

A pet sitter sending status updates about the pet via the app

Step 1: Register an account and apply to become a sitter

1. Complete your profile

Open the Fluv app, then go to “My Profile / Edit Profile” to update your cover photo, profile picture, display name, and bio. Note that your profile photo and bio will be shown directly on your listed service page — they directly affect how much pet owners trust you, so this part really matters!

Your bio is a great place to express your love for pets, share your story with animals, and describe your care experience. Also fill in your contact information (kept private) so the platform can send you important notifications.

2. Apply to become a sitter

Open the Fluv app and go to “My Profile / Sitter Center.” Complete all the review steps to become an approved sitter.

3. Document review
You must complete identity verification before any other review steps will begin!
Note that pet care experience is also part of the review criteria — fill it in carefully. Residents should upload the front of their national ID; non-residents may upload the photo page of their passport. The image must be clear and unobscured. Your selfie must be taken live on the spot — screenshots or reprints are not accepted. Before hitting “Complete,” please double-check that all your information is correct!

Step 2: Pet knowledge and platform usage quiz (1–3 days)

  1. Suitability quiz

Fluv uses this quiz to assess your expertise, service mindset, and love of animals — to determine whether you’re a good fit as a Fluv sitter. Please answer honestly and thoughtfully. Sample questions include: What would you do if a dog keeps barking at the door? What does it mean when a cat rolls over and shows its belly?

2. Platform usage quiz
Once Fluv is satisfied that you’re an animal lover with the right expertise and service mindset, they’ll want to confirm you’re ready to use the platform to deliver services. You can watch the tutorials and then take the quiz — you need a perfect score to pass, but you can retake it as many times as you need. We recommend noting down your answers on the first attempt so you can review them if you need to retake it.

Step 3: Set up your payment account (5 minutes)

  1. This is important! Make sure all details are correct, or you won’t receive your payments!
The bank code is 3 digits; the branch code (also called “remittance code” or “transfer code”) is 4 digits (enter 0000 if unknown). Non-Cathay accounts will be subject to an interbank transfer fee of NT$10–15.

Step 4: Sign the cooperation agreement to protect both parties (5 minutes)

  1. Sign the agreement
Fluv uses the DottedSign system for online contracts. After signing, simply click the “Done” or “Finish” button in the top right — no need to download and re-upload the file.

Step 5: Find two referees (1–2 hours)

  1. At least two referees
At the bottom of the Sitter Center, you’ll find your personal referral link and a message template. Tap the link or template to copy the text, then share it with friends or family.

Step 6: List your services and start caring for pets (30 minutes–2 hours)

  1. List a service: go to “Services” → “Add Service” to create a listing. You can set the service type, price, hours, title, description, location, photos (up to 10), and the types and sizes of pets you’ll accept.

⚠️ Prices, service area, service details, and accepted pets are all set by you. Please don’t accept an order and then cancel because the price is too low, the location is too far, or you don’t actually accept that type or size of pet. Honestly assess your own experience when deciding what pets to list — if you have no relevant experience with a certain pet type, don’t list it.

Not sure what to write in your service description? We’ve got you covered with default templates! Feel free to copy, paste, and adjust to fit your actual services~

    In-home pet care

    Companion walks

    In-home bathing

In-home grooming ⚠️ Requires a pet grooming certification

Boarding and daycare ⚠️ Requires a home environment inspection

2. Choose your service cover photo

  • To earn a client’s trust, your photo must: show your face clearly and be relevant to the service!

Anyone who’s about to entrust their beloved pet to someone else will want to know what kind of person you are — how can they trust someone whose face they can’t even see?

Since photos in the app are displayed horizontally, a half-body shot or selfie works best. A photo where you’re standing too far away will be too small to make out on a phone screen.

Use photos that match your service — walking photos for walk listings, cat care photos for cat care listings. This lets people understand your service at a glance. For grooming services, a before-and-after comparison shot works great too!

2. Cover photo for boarding and daycare listings

If you’re offering boarding and daycare services, your first photo must be a photo of your care space — this lets pet owners instantly see the environment their pet will be staying in. Super important!

  1. Tidy up your care space
  2. Find the best angle
  3. Capture the full environment in the shot

3. Set your pricing

  • Boarding and daycare

Free meet-and-greet for new clients

⚠ Before the service officially begins, pet owners can schedule a visit to your home so you can interact with the pet, and the pet can get to know you and the environment. If either you or the pet owner feels it’s not the right fit, the order can be cancelled at this point. This is a process designed to protect both parties — we strongly recommend scheduling a meet-and-greet before payment is made!

Sitters can set their base rate from the following three tiers, based on service quality and personal experience:

  • Budget: NT$250 / 12 hours         *recommended for new sitters
  • Standard: NT$350 / 12 hours
  • Premium: NT$450 / 12 hours         *for experienced sitters, specialized services, or peak periods

⭐️We recommend new sitters start at the budget rate, build up reviews and client trust, then gradually raise your prices

⭐️If you’d like to offer boarding and daycare services, please message the Fluv support team separately to arrange a home environment inspection

Total price = (base rate per pet + size surcharge per pet) × per 12 hours

Note: Cats and toy-breed dogs under 5 kg have no surcharge;

Small dogs 5–10 kg: +NT$50;

Medium-sized dogs 10–20 kg: +NT$150;

Large dogs 20–40 kg: +NT$300;

Extra-large dogs 40 kg and above: +NT$450.

  • In-home pet care

Free meet-and-greet for new clients

⚠ Before the service officially begins, schedule a separate visit to the owner’s home to get familiar with the environment, interact with the pet, and let the pet get used to you. If either you or the owner feels it’s not the right fit, the order can be cancelled at this point. This process protects both parties — we strongly recommend scheduling a meet-and-greet before payment is made!

Sitters can set their rate from the following three tiers, based on service quality, personal experience, and distance from the owner’s home:

  • Budget: NT$400 / 30 minutes         *recommended for new sitters
  • Standard: NT$500 / 30 minutes
  • Premium: NT$650 / 30 minutes         *for experienced sitters, specialized services, long distances, or peak periods

⭐️We recommend new sitters start at the budget rate, build up reviews and client trust, then gradually raise your prices

Total price = rate × service duration (per 30 minutes) × visits per day × number of days

Note: the number of pets is not factored into the system’s price calculation — up to 5 pets are priced the same. However, for 6 or more pets, the system will automatically require the client to book at least 60 minutes of service time, and so on. If you feel you cannot fully care for all the pets within the booked time (e.g., 30 minutes for 4 medium-sized dogs), coordinate with the owner to increase the service duration and rebook accordingly.

And that’s it — you’re all set!

You can now start taking bookings and caring for pets. If your space allows, we highly recommend offering boarding and daycare services — average matched earnings are around NT$40,000/month.

If you have any questions about the sitter application process, feel free to join the official Fluv LINE support channel — a dedicated team member will be there to help you list your services and answer any questions~
